Volspec

Volspec will be running a session at the conference on Engine maintenance for dummies (preventative maintenance).

Volspec Ltd are a Volvo Penta Centre, one of 12 within the UK, and deal solely with Volvo Penta engines.  The collective knowledge held by Volspec staff is vast, with employee ages ranging from 16 to 58 years old, many with double figures of service under their belts.  A thriving and very well stocked parts department ship genuine Volvo Penta parts all over the UK and beyond, whilst our service department support the many different sizes of Volvo Penta engines in a wide range of applications around the clock.

The session will be run by Andy Notley and Matthew Hatherly.

Andy Notley is the Service Director at Volspec, having been with the company for over 9 years.  Previous to this he was employed for 4 years at Essex Boatyards where he was involved with the fitting of numerous optional extras on new Fairline motor yachts.  Along with Matthew and other colleagues in the head office he is responsible for overseeing the day to day workload of the team of engineers, plus working with the other Directors for the smooth running of the company.

Matthew Hatherly is a senior engineer and also the Centre Trainer, and has been with Volspec for over 15 years.  Matthew has an excellent knowledge on the numerous Volvo Penta engines across the range and across all applications, and it is not unusual to find him sorting out one problem himself whilst being on the phone to someone else, describing how to sort a problem out in intricate detail, down to specific wire colours and/or bolt sizes required for the successful completion of a job!
