Workshop Leader: Roger Gaspar
In this workshop Roger will provide an illustrated talk about the options for crossing the estuary including:
- the likely trends of the sands based on the history and our contemporary use,
- the choices for routes between the Kent, Essex and Suffolk rivers or heading for the Dover Straits,
- the assets – readily available information, and
- the hazards affecting us – shipping, wind farms and the tides.
He will conclude talking on how the sometimes difficult choices for passage planning can be eased in what are unique waters.
